Poppy at The Hazlebury Kitchen could not have been more wonderful - her thought, her attention to detail, and understanding what we would like for the cake meant we had a simply beautiful cake for our daughter’s special birthday - didn’t want to cut it as it was so beautiful but then it was delicious too!! Absolutely delicious on so many levels. So very friendly and helpful, with lots of interesting suggestions to enhance our own ideas. She's a total stress-killer, totally reliable providing a wedding cake better than we ever envisaged. Ps check out her yoga classes too.

Poppy made us a beautiful vegan wedding cake. She was able to capture exactly what we envisioned and everyone loved the cake. We had plenty left over which was by no means a bad thing. We were able to send our friends off with extra and we enjoyed cake for breakfast for days!

Poppy was a dream come true from start to finish. From the moment we got engaged I knew we had to go with The Hazlebury Kitchen as Poppy's cakes are both beautiful and so mouthwatering. Her cake samples are so good to try as she has so many wonderful flavours, and she produced the most amazing 3 tiered cake for our wedding, helping us navigate guest allergy requirements along with every detail to ensure our cake was true perfection. I even asked her to surprise me with the decoration and she could not have done a better job. Not to mention she even hand delivers when possible to ensure delivery! Could not highly recommend her more. xx

A classic, delicious cake made by Poppy and decorated with flowers grown by our florist / family friend. We went for 2 flavours on separate tiers and both were amazing. Excellent communication. Thank you Poppy!

Poppy made my birthday cake this year and it was the best cake I've ever eaten! I chose the cherry bakewell and it was true to flavour. What's more, she made it vegan and it was moist and the structure of the sponge consistent throughout. The white chocolate on top was delicious (It's hard to find a good vegan chocolate) I will certainly order more cakes from her and recommend her as a celebration cake maker to anyone

Poppy had made a cake for an event for us previously, which was beautiful and delicious, so we asked her to make our wedding cake this summer. I explained the aesthetic we were going for and she completely nailed the brief. She created a rustic buttercream look with gold leafing - it was gorgeous. The flavours were so tasty (we also had great fun trying the yummy taster box to decide which ones to choose) - it was a big cake but all eaten!! Our guests loved it! Couldn’t recommend her enough.

Poppy was very efficient and straightforward to communicate with. I chose an edible flower cake; I loved the designs on the website so asked for one to be replicated. I was thrilled when I saw the cake on the wedding day. It was both a beautiful decoration and tasted delicious. Poppy was helpful in making gluten free/vegan cupcakes - a last minute request after we had finalised details of guests' dietary requirements.

Poppy made our wedding cake this summer and I cannot recommend her and her cakes highly enough! From start to finish she was helpful, kind and professional. We told her our style and theme of the wedding and she made us the most beautiful dried edible flower cake. The attention to detail was amazing. We ate the cake in the afternoon and I am so glad we did as every one got to try some of the delicious layers. We had a banoffee layer and a berry layer, she ever made a gluten free layer for some of our guests! We previously have ordered postal brownies from her and they always incredible so Poppy made us brownies for evening snacks too at the wedding!
